Once something is in the HoM it stays there, whether you delete characters, salvage/sell armor, trash minis, etc.

Firstly, everything is purely cosmetic. Its just a reminder for vets of their time in gw1/show they played the original.

Go for 30/50 to start (all items) then see where you are in regards to going for higher (which is just titles).

They way I'd go is:
1. Play through the game. Get all the protector titles. 6 statues in honor, 8/30 straight away. Then, I'd start to work on the guardian titles. You can do them fine via 7H, or pug them via the zaishen quest. Personally, I'd do as many as possible via this whether pugging or 7H it, as its more reward and more cash for later. Another 4 statues in honor, bringing you to 9/30.

2. While doing these or otherwise, do FoW, doa (easy to get a group as a glaive spammer, look up glaiveway), deep and urgoz (both of these are a zaishen bounty, so will have pugs around once every 2 months, or you can hero them) and sorrows furnace. While doing sorrows furnace, you can hatch the black moa minipet. Looks this up on wiki. Its a free green minipet. Overall, a gain of 5 statues in honor for 10/30. Also, 2 points in devotion from the black moa mini bringing the total to 12/30 so far.

3. Play through WiK and get yourself 2 free oppressor weapons from medals of honor. Do another 2 or 3 glaive runs in doa for a tormented weapon from gemstones. Buy 2 destroyer weapons for ~40k/ea. 5 points in valor. 17/20.

4. Fellowship monument. All 8 points can get attained for free if you play for your armor remnants. Could be nice to do a few every week rather than all at once. Generally its only 10-20 mins per remnant. So won't take too long overall. 25/30.

5. This is where you'll spend your money. Essentially, I'd go for a kurzick/luxon armor and 2 eotn 40k armors. total cost will be ~180k. You could save some cash here by farming your own jade/amber/mats in general, but it will be a minimum of 140k (crafting costs only). This is 3 points in resilience, 28/30. For the last 2, buy 19 first and second year whites and purples. This will probably set you back ~100k, but will get you the last 2 points for 30/30.

tl;dr ~360k and maybe 200hrs-250hrs if you set out goal focused.
